
National Diploma in Chemical Engineering (N4 -N6)
About This Course
Overview
Each N-Level takes eleven weeks (approximately three months). Grade 11s may be admitted into N3 Level. To be admitted into N4 level, grade 12 or N3 is a requirement. One can proceed to the next level only when the previous level has been successfully completed. On successful completion of each level the candidate will be issued with a National Certificate by The Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET), Quality assured by The Quality Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO). It is recommended that students enrolling on the National N4 Certificate programme complete the N5 and N6 as well as the 18-month workplace experiential training in order to qualify for the National Diploma. Students can then enter into either a University of Technology to complete a degree qualification or into a workplace that requires the qualification. Registrations are on going.
This is a branch of engineering that applies the natural (experimental) sciences and life sciences together with mathematics to produce, transform, transport and properly use chemicals, materials and energy. Subjects are Mathematics, Engineering Science, Chemistry & Chemical Plant Operation.
Requirements
