There are three levels to Educare: N4 to N6. Each N-Level takes six months. To be admitted into N4 level, Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent is a requirement. One can proceed to the next level only when the previous level has been successfully completed. On successful completion of each level the candidate will be issued with a National Certificate by the Department of Higher Education & Training (DHET). If you complete all three National Levels (approximately 12 subjects), as well as 18 months of practical experience in the area of study work situation, the N6 National Certificate can be converted to a National Diploma. Please note that with Whitestone College you can still do the qualification of your choice and get free Matric Rewrite.

Educare refers to the specialized education of children. It simply means to educate and to care. Looking after children is a huge responsibility, one that not everyone is equipped to do. Not everyone has these skills, but with the right course and a genuine interest you could easily pick them up. There are a lot of elements you will learn that contribute to properly taking care of children. This includes food and nutrition, educational psychology, child health and more.
Educare Course description:
This course will equip students with essential skills and knowledge required to work with children up to 5 years old. It is a specialised early learning programme. Whitestone College’s Educare course will take you in the right direction.

Grade 12 Pass
Any qualification on NQF Level 4.
If one does not meet the above requirements he/she will be admitted to N4 and do a free Matric course.
